Sad News

The Bunchionary Staff is sorry to report this sorrowful news, but it appears that Ronald McDonald has slipped this mortal coil. Whether the burdens of this earth became too much for the beloved clown, or he was the victim of foul play (anyone seen Grimace?), it matters not. The great clown spokesman is gone. R.I.P. (1963 - 2007).

I guess it is appropriate to have a moment of silence and say, "McRest in McPiece."

Whatever will the children do without their beloved clown?

Oh, well, I guess McDonalds must be satisfied with marketing to their “Kid Kustomers” through playgrounds, cartoons, movies, videos, amusement parks, contests, games, and clubs.

Of course as one McDonalds memo put it, “When it gets down to brass tacks, the key to attracting kids is toys, toys, toys,” so maybe it was time for Ronald to retire (himself).

After all, how can he compete with the newest Disney cross-promotions?

I mean, I’m not saying Mickey had anything to do with Ronald’s death, but you never know. Mickey has his minions, too.
